BREAKING! Aston Villa Sign Marco Asensio From PSG

Aston Villa have signed Marco Asensio from PSG in the last hours of the January transfer window, MySportDab reports.

The Villains stepped up their move for the Spanish attacking sensation after selling Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr for a €77million.

Playing as a frontline attacker, Asensio, who boasts elite-level footballing experience with top clubs in Europe, will be expected to bring it to bear with the Aston-based outfit in the Premier League.

Details of the transfer as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, show he will be joining the club on loan till the end of the season.

PSG gave the greenlight for the transfer after also parting ways with Cher Ndour, who left to Fiorentina on a permanent contract till 2029.

Asensio joined PSG in 2023 summer from Real Madrid but has struggled for game time under the club’s new manager Luis Enrique.

He made 19 league appearances, scoring 4 goals with 5 assists on his debut season. This season, he has managed 12 appearances, scoring 2 goals with 4 assists.

He has a year left on his three-year PSG contract and will be expected back at the club after the end of the loan deal.

While this transfer could pass as Aston Villa’s biggest catch this January, the Villains are also still expected to sort out other transfer deals before the close of the transfer window.

We reported earlier they are in talks with Manchester United for Marcus Rashford, who has agreed personal terms for a switch to the club.

Chelsea’s Joao Felix is also on the club’s radar and personal terms have also been agreed with negotiations on to settle club terms with the Blues.

The two pending deals are expected to be sealed on no distant time before the January transfer closes.
