Manchester United players have reportedly clashed with Ruben Amorim amidst the dragging run of poor results, MySportDab reports.
According to @ChrisWheelDM, sources close to the Man United dressing have confirmed dissents by some group of players who believe the team’s poor run of form is due to Amorim’s tactics.
Further details reveal the players are beginning to lose confidence in Amorim’s tactics as the results aren’t forthcoming.
Notably, while they still support the manager, per the report, confidence on his tactical formation and approach to the game is on the wane.
United’s poor run this season came to the head when they recorded their 12th defeat of the campaign, losing 1-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur in their last match.
The loss to Spurs marked another low in the Red Devils’ poor run of form, as they recorded their first league double defeat to the North London side for the first time in 35 years.
Despite the poor run of results, Amorim, who is known for his signature back-three defense option, has insisted on maintaining his style of play.
According to him, it is not about his strategy and style of play but the quality of the players and how they are able to adapt to the new system.
Manchester United currently sit 15th in the table with 29 points, 10 points above the relegation zone. They will travel to take on Everton in their next Premier League match before hosting relegation battlers Ipswich in their second match.
While Amorim has yet to come under pressure despite the poor run of form, a dragging winless streak is likely to bring his job under intense scrutiny before the end of the season.
