Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has stoked reactions from football fans after he showed off a scary scar after his surgery, MySportDab reports.
Recall the England sensation picked up a hamstring issue in December and was ruled out of action for three months after it was confirmed he would have to undergo surgery for his recovery.
Since then, he has been sidelined but is expected to return in March to help Arsenal relaunch themselves into the Premier League title race and also challenge for the Champions League title.
While the prolific winger has been a big loss to the Gunners’ fold due to the injury blow, there is now light at the end of the tunnel as he is set to be back to action.
Arsenal confirmed his imminent return in a crisp series of photo posts on social media showing the footballer training hard to return to action.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted a scary scar from the surgery done on the player after the injury.
As he stretched his limbs, the scar stretched out in a thin line like a lump under the hamstring area.
The scar stoked reactions from fans with some hailing the player for his resilience and commitment to his craft.
A fan wrote, “The scar is due to three years of carrying Mikel Arteta’s right wing.”
Another added, “The only player who carries Arsenal’s burden for several seasons under Mikel Arteta.”
Another said, “This shows his unalloyed loyalty to his club and commitment to the sport.”
Saka is expected to be back in the Arsenal lineup next month. However, it is still unclear when he will start.
Meanwhile, his return will be a big boost to the Gunners who hope to chase down Liverpool in the Premier title race and also drive deep into the UEFA Champions League.
Notably, despite not tasting action for close to three months, Saka still remains top of the charts of Premier League players with the highest number of created chances (19)
