The draws for the 2024-25 Europa League quarterfinal have been confirmed, MySportDab reports.
Two Premier League clubs – Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur – made it to the last eight following aggregate victories over Real Sociedad and AZ Alkmaar, respectively.
United captain and Portuguese sensation Bruno Fernandes heroed it for the Red Devils at Old Trafford, scoring a hat-trick as Ruben Amorim’s side thrashed the La Liga side.
Tottenham struck thrice to overturn a 1-0 first-leg loss to AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands, winning 3-2 on aggregate to qualify for the last eight.
Other teams who aced through to the last eight of the competition include Belgium side Bodo/Glimt, Ligue 1 giants Lyon, Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, Serie A side Lazio and Scottish champions Rangers.
Now, the draws for the next round of the competition have been released based on a pre-ordered fixture bracket by UEFA.
In the draws, Manchester United will take on Lyon in what is expected to be the biggest fixture in the round.
Lazio will play Bodo/Glimt; Tottenham will take on Eintracht Frankfurt and Rangers playing Athletic Bilbao.
Notably, the winner of the Man United vs Lyon match will take on the winner of the Rangers and Athletic Bilbao match.
The winner of the fixture between Bodo/Glimt and Lazio will play either Tottenham Hotspur or Eintracht Frankfurt for a place in the final.
