Aston Villa have aced their 2025 Champions League round of 16 tie against Club Brugge with an emphatic victory, MySportDab reports.
The Unai Emery-led side put up a solid performance against the Belgian champions, securing an emphatic 3-1 away victory to boost their chances of qualifying for the quarterfinals.
It was a cagey affair from the start with the two teams looking set for a rollercoaster matchup as the match kicked off.
Just three minutes into proceedings, Leon Bailly got the away side into the lead, thanks to an assist by Tyrone Mings.
However, the lead was short-lived. Club Brugge fought back virulently just nine minutes after to level the score. De Cuyper, latching on an assist from Tzolis, netted the leveler in the 12th minute.

The quickfire goals drove proceedings into a frenetic tempo. However, Club Brugge proved more dominant going forward but could not break down Villa’s low blocks.
The first half ended with the two sides settling for a 1-1 draw, thanks to the Premier League side’s resolute defending in the face of the hosts’ countless offensives.
The dynamics of the game changed in the second half. Aston Villa put up more brilliant showing and were more clinical in the attack when Unai Emery subbed off Marcus Rashford for Marco Asensio.
In the 82nd minute, Brandon Mechele finally broke the second-half deadlock, scoring to fire the away side into the lead.
Six minutes later, the hosts fell into deeper trouble when they conceded a spot-kick. Marco Asensio converted it with ease to extend the lead and dismantle comeback hopes for the hosts.
With just two minutes of regulation time left, it was gameover for the Belgian side. The game ended with Aston Villa grabbing a remarkable 3-1 away win.
