BREAKING! Dani Alves Wins Case on Sexual Assault [Details]

Dani Alves is set to regain his freedom as a higher court have finally passed judgement on allegations of rape and sexual assault against him, MySportDab reports.

Recall the Barcelona legend came under the wires after being accused by a lady (identity undisclosed for private reasons) of sexual assault and rape.

The incident which purportedly occured in a night club in Barcelona spell doom for the career of the footballer.

Amidst the allegations, Dani Alves was plying his trade with Mexican club Pumas UNAM who later terminated his contract following his arrest by Spanish authorities due to the allegations.

He was detained in Brian 2 Prison in Spain following a court order for his remand and was later found guilty of the allegations by the court.

As part of his sentence, he was barred from reaching out to the lady and was slammed with a hefty fine and compensation fee.

However, his legal team didn’t give up on his defense, and had appealed the judgement to a higher court.

Now, according to Spanish outlet @Darios, there is now light at the end of the tunnel for Dani Alves. The superior court have reportedly passed a judgement clearing Dani Alves of the allegations and declaring him innocent as the prosecutors lack enough evidence against him.

Details of the report reads;

“Dani Alves has been acquitted of a crime of sexual assault. The court considers that the testimony of the young woman is not enough to uphold the conviction of the former footballer.”

This judgement has laid to rest the dragging legal saga that drowned Dani Alves’ career. While his return to footballing action is unlikely, he will heave a sigh of relief coming out unscathed in the case.
