A bedraggled transfer saga between Joshua Kimmich and Bayern Munich has finally ended, MySportDab reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the German midfielder has now signed a new four-year contract with the Bundesliga side till 2029.

The new deal has put an end to endless speculations on the future of the player in the past weeks.

German outlets reported gaping differences between the 30-year-old and the club during renewal talks.

Meanwhile, it was understood the player’s old deal was set to expire at the end of the season with top clubs in Europe milling around him for a deal.

It was initially looking bleak as both parties couldn’t reach an agreement on terms of the new deal. Sources close to Bayern revealed the club withdrew their initial proposal due to differences on wage.

Now, all points of contention have been resolved with the player committing to a four-year new contract till 2029.

Kimmich is one of the oldest in the Bavarians rooster having joined the team in 2015 from RB Leipzig. He has been crucial to the team, playing an integral role through all hands in the club’s dugout.

He has made 24 Bundesliga appearances for the club, scoring one goal with five assists. In the Champions League, he has four assists in 12 appearances.

The new deal will see him extend his stay with the Bavarians to 14 years and will be expected to continue on his standout performances as the team charge for the Bundesliga and Champions League title.

At the time of filing this report, Bayern have yet to officially announce the new deal but are expected to do so soon.
