Lionel Messi BLASTS PSG In Fresh Row

Lionel Messi has blasted PSG as he doubles down on his travails while at the Ligue 1 outfit, MySportDab reports.

Messi switched to the Ligue 1 giants in 2021 after Barcelona were out of the wherewithal to renew his contract due to La Liga fair play rules.

For a player who groomed his entire career win the La Liga giants, and not only that but nursed an enviable career from the Catalan-based outfit, it was difficult to say goodbye.

However, he had to call it a quit when the time came and was leaving with emotions welled-up in his eyes in 2021 summer.

PSG landed the forward on a free transfer and for Messi, the move heralded another disastrous chapter in his career.

Speaking recently, he has revealed he never enjoyed his stay at the club, struggling to adapt and most importantly balancing his private family life and his sporting endeavor with the club.

“I had to leave Barcelona and I spent 2 years in Paris that I didn’t enjoy…”.

“I was not happy on a daily basis, with games, training, it was hard for me to adapt,” he said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Messi’s indictive remark is not a surprise. It is understood he left the club an unhappy man and even had to go as far as unfollowing them in social media.

The high-point of his fallout with the club came towards the final days of his spell with the club when he skipped training to honor an ambassadorial deal with Saudi authorities.

He was suspended from the team for the gesture and had to issue a public apology before being reintegrated.

However, the fallout was more of symptoms of the degenerating and tensed relationship with the club’s hierarchy with the 2021 exit largely envisaged.

Away from the botched spell with the Ligue 1 side, he is now playing for MLS side Inter Miami on a two-and-a-half-year contract which is set to expire at the end of the current 2025 MLS campaign.
