Marcus Rashford Aims Subtle Dig At Ruben Amorim After Brace Vs Preston

Manchester United ex-talisman Marcus Rashford has subtly fired shots at current United boss Ruben Amorim, following his brace against Preston United in the FA Cup quarter-final, MySportDab reports.

The England International has continued to impress at his new club, getting himself on the score sheet for the first time on two different occasions, which included a penalty in Villa’s 3-0 win.

Notably, he has started to show signs that he is enjoying his football again, after enduring a torrid few months at Manchester United under Amorim. The 27-year-old was one of the stars expected to shine under the new United boss, but that was far from the case.

He was relegated to the bench and barely getting any on-field action under Amorim.

Deemed surplus to requirements, he was later loaned to Aston Villa during the winter transfer window, where he seems to have regained his spark and confidence, quickly becoming one of the key figures in the Unai Emery side.

His improved performances have also caught the eyes of the England national team head coach, Thomas Tuchel, who called up the Villa star for the Three Lions’ recent internationals.

Speaking at the post-match press after his display against Preston United, Rashford implied he is enjoying his football more at Villa Park. He also stated he feels fitter at his new club, contradicting claims made by Amorim earlier in the season that there were concerns regarding the attacker’s commitment to training.

‘It’s a great feeling, I feel like I’ve been getting fitter and playing better football since I’ve been here. It’s obviously nice for a forward to get a goal so hopefully it continues,” he said after the match.

MySportDab understands United are open to permanent transfer exit for the homegrown star this summer with Villa equally exploring options to make the deal permanent.
