Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has broken his silence on the simmering contract renewal saga between him and the club, MySportDab reports.
The Brazilian winger committed to the club till 2026 but has been presented with a new proposal as he approaches the dawn of the old deal.
Regarded as one of the best in the world and integral to the Madrid project, he was largely expected to continue with the club.
However, it is understood he rejected the new offer due to differences over wage. Close sources reveal the 23-year-old wants improved wage terms in the wake of stellar performances for the club lately.
While Real Madrid are set to present him with a new offer, there have been speculations he could be open to a move away from the club after turning down the new proposal in hand.

Now, addressing the building contract renewal faceoff, Vinicius Jr. has reiterated his decision to continue his career with the club.
“I’m very calm because I have a contract until June 2027 and I CAN’T WAIT to renew it”.

While this comment has downplayed the player’s potential exit from Los Blancos in the summer, he has been strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi giants Al-Hilal are eyeing him as a potential replacement for his Brazilian pal Neymar Jr who exited the club to Santos in January.
Moreover, the Saudi champions are reportedly ready to table an irresistible offer worth €300m to Real Madrid for the player, including an insane €200m-per-year contract offer.
