Barcelona will host Borussia Dortmund in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie today, MySportDab reports.

It will be a cracker as these two teams lock horns for a place in the last four. Barcelona have been brilliant lately, going unbeaten in their last 22 matches since December 2024.

This includes an impressive seven-match winning streak that was brought to an end with a 1-1 draw against Real Betis in their last match on the domestic scene.

Borussia Dortmund are on a two-match winning run after a run of alternating fortunes lately.

They will head into this match as underdogs given their opponents’ fine shape. However, they aren’t pushovers in the UEFA Champions League having finished as runners-up in the last campaign.

Notably, Barcelona are undefeated in all their five meetings against Borussia Dortmund, winning three and drawing two. These include a 3-2 away victory over the Bundesliga side in this edition of the competition.

Team News and Prediction

Dani Olmo will miss this match due to injury including Marc Casado and Ter Stegen. Meanwhile, Raphinha is expected back to the starting lineup after being kept on reserve in the Real Betis match.

Borussia Dortmund will miss the services of Marcel Sabitzer due to injury. Nico Schlotterbeck is also out due to a muscle blow. Meanwhile, Yan Couto and Niclas Sule are expected back to the squad after their injuries.

For our prediction, Barcelona are the favourites to win this game. Hansi Flick’s side is known for their effective and formidable attack and will outscore this opponent again. We are tipping them to win 3-1 after the final whistle.
