Chelsea have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of their highly-anticipated Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur, MySportDab reports.
The Blues will lock horns with Spurs in what is expected to be rollercoaster matchup in the Premier League on Thursday.
While Spurs will hope to strengthen their bid for any tier of European football next season, Chelsea will hope to boost their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking ahead of the match, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed his team has witness the return of key players who were sidelined.
Specifically, he confirmed three players are back to the grass and will be in contention to return to action and possibly start the match on Thursday.
Leading the names of the returnees is Cole Palmer. Palmer has been the fulcrum of the Blues’ signature attacking style since his debut campaign last season.
Under Maresca, the Man City academy product has not disappointed. He has 20 goal contributions this season in the Premier League, comprising 14 goals and six assists.
Before the international break, Palmer was not in action for the Blues against Arsenal in the London Derby due to a minor muscle injury. This lead to his withdrawal from the England squad for the recent internationals.
Another player that is back to the squad is Noni Madueke. Madueke was subbed off in the 3-0 loss to Brighton and has been sidelined since then.
Nicolas Jackson is the third name confirmed back to the squad. The Senegalese missed several weeks of action for the Blues after injury in a home win over London neighbours West Ham United.
The return of the trio, as confirmed by Maresca, will be a big boost to the team as they prepare for the cracker on Thursday.
