FT: Arsenal 2-2 Crystal Palace, Gunners HELD! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Arsenal have been held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

Goals from Jakub Kiwior, Eberechi Eze, Leandro Trossard, and Jean-Philippe Mateta ensured the two sides settled for a four-goal thriller draw.

Arsenal started on the front foot and it wasn’t long before they opened the scoring through Jakub Kiwior.

Latching on a brilliant assist by captain Leandro Trossard, Kiwior scored a stunner just three minutes into the game to give the home side the lead.

However, the lead was short-lived as Crystal Palace fought back gallantly to level the tie before the break.

Red-hot attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze scored the equalizer for the Eagles, thanks to an assist by Adam Wharton.

After Crystal Palace’s equalizer, Arsenal ramped up their game and pushed to retake the lead.

Three minutes before the first-half break, they were able to regain the lead through Leandro Trossard. The Belgian sensation scored a beautiful volley, firing a low shot into the bottom left corner from Jurrien Timber’s assist.

Trossard’s goal saw the Gunners go into the break with a 2-1 lead but Crystal Palace would stage an impressive second-half display to tie the score again.

Notably, Arsenal still stayed atop proceedings in the second half but struggled to break down the visitors’ brick-wall defense and were jittery when coming under pressure from the visitors.

It appeared Mikel Arteta’s side were set to secure a 2-1 win with the 80th minute crossed without a goal before William Saliba’s defensive error allowed the Eagles came back into the game.

Saliba was trying to thread a back-pass when it was intercepted by substitute Jean-Philippe Mateta, who then beat David Raya with a lobbed shot that slid off the crossbar into the back of the net.

The 83rd-minute goal was enough to tie the score and have both sides share spoils in a four-goal thriller.

The draw has seen Arsenal fell 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
