FT: Man United 0-0 Man City, Derby Ends In Draw! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Manchester United have settled for a goalless draw against cross-city rivals in the Manchester Derby, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils went into the game off the back of a loss against top-four hopefuls Nottingham Forest. Also, a run of underwhelming results has seen the team slumped into the bottom half of the table.

Against the cross-city rivals, they needed victory to restore fans’ confidence amidst what has been a difficult campaign.

On the other hand, City had their top-four hopes on the line. With just a point away from fourth-placed Chelsea, they needed a win to overtake the Blues.

As expected, things got off to a slow start. The Guardiola-led side held a dominant sway over proceedings, wielding a commanding swarth of the possession.

However, they struggled to nib Man United’s scissor-edge attack in the bud. The Red Devils looked more threatening when charging forward and created more goal-scoring chances than the visitors. Nevertheless, the first half ended with both sides unable to break the deadlock.

In the second half, City still held sway over proceedings but were less clinical in front of goal. The nearest they came close was through Omar Marmoush free-kick which was gallantly pointed out by Andre Onana.

Joshua Zirkzee had United”s best chance in the game but was harried up by city defense leading to a big miss. Garnacho was also close to making it count for United but missed the chance.

At the blast of the final whistle, the game ended with both sides settling for a dramatic 0-0 draw.
