Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed whether the club will keep Jadon Sancho on a permanent contract or not at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan in the winter transfer window and has been an integral part of the Blues’ squad under Maresca.
He has made 23 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
Meanwhile, there has been speculations on his future at the London club with a few months left on his loan contract.
Now, in a quote shared by Ben Jacobs, Maresca seems to have put the speculations to rest when asked about the club’s plan for the Man United loanee.
“I love all the players with us. In this moment, [the goal] it is to finish well and not think about next season. What happens in the summer, we will see. I am happy with all the players here,” he said.
Notably, Maresca veered off the route of addressing Sancho’s future in his response leaving some air of uncertainty on the future of the player.
However, MySportDab understands Sancho is not likely to be integrated back into Man United squad under Amorim.
United are open to a permanent exit for the English tracker having attached a buy-option to the deal.
While Chelsea are at liberty to either trigger the buy option or not, it is understood they will have to pay United £5million if they don’t want to keep Sancho on a permanent contract.
Borussia Dortmund are among clubs that are interested in the English footballer with reports the Bundesliga club are ready for a permanent deal for the player due to his impressive performances on loan last season.
