Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe is confident his side can overturn their heavy defeat against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.
Arsenal stunned the reigning La Liga and European champions, easing to a thumping 3-0 victory in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie at the Emirates.
After a barren first half, Declan Rice scored two thunderous free-kicks, eight minutes apart, to fire Arsenal to a two-goal lead.
It was another masterclass by the English midfielder and one that got the Gunners levels above Los Blancos.
And that wasn’t all for Mikel Arteta’s side. The London club also reaped from the experience of Mikel Merino who crashed home a brilliant pass from Lewis-Skelly to make it 3-0.
For a side with the richest history in the competition, going down by three unreplied goals to Arsenal was unfathomable.
However, it was just Arsenal being themselves and upholding their brilliant record against the La Liga side.
The Gunners went into the game yet to concede or lose against Real Madrid in their two meetings. Can they uphold this record in the second leg against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu?

Speaking after the game, Kylian Mbappe who had an awful night at the Emirates Stadium, believes Real Madrid can pull a comeback and qualify for the next round.
“The comeback is possible after all. We have to believe until the end,” he said as Fabrizio Romano quotes.
Real Madrid will have to score four unreplied goals at the Santiago Bernabeu against the Gunners to qualify for the next round.
While everything is possible in the game, Real Madrid’s chances of progressing to the next round are now just a matter of faith as professed by Mbappe.
The two sides will lock horns again in the second leg on Wednesday next week.
