Real Madrid Handed a Major Injury Boost Ahead Of Arsenal UCL Clash

Real Madrid have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their cracker 2024-25 UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Arsenal, MySportDab reports.

Los Blancos will travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on the Gunners in the first leg of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League last eight.

Arsenal saw off PSG Eindhoven in the round of 16 to qualify for the quarterfinals while Real Madrid edged out domestic and cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid.

The two teams will go head-to-head in what is expected to be a rollercoaster Champions League matchup on Tuesday.

Ahead of the match, Real Madrid have been handed a critical injury boost with their key player and first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois back to the squad.

In a report confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Courtois is back to the squad from the sidelines and will be available to start against Arsenal on Tuesday.

Courtois picked up a muscle injury in the recent internationals while on duty with Belgium national team. He missed Real Madrid’s training before the resumption of the La Liga session due to the blow.

His return will be a big to the Los Blancos who felt his absence heavily at the weekend in La Liga as they suffered a shock 2-1 home loss to Valencia in the Spanish top flight.

Against a tougher opposition on Tuesday, Carlo Ancelotti’s will hope to secure victory and boost their chances of qualifying for the last four.

Conversely, Arsenal will be without one of their key defenders Gabriel Magalhaes who has been sidelined due to injury.
