Real Madrid Stars Suspended For Arsenal Match? UEFA Pass Verdict

European football governing body UEFA have passed judgement after investigations into alleged misconduct by Real Madrid stars, MySportDab reports.

Anthony Rudiger, Vinicius Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Dani Ceballos came under the UEFA radar for disrespectful celebrations after their UEFA Champions League round-of-16 matchup against cross-city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Rudiger was pictured making a menacing gesture on the opposing fans by pointing his thumb to his throat. Kylian Mbappe allegedly grabbed his crocks in disrespect to the fans as well.

Vinicius Jr and Dani Ceballos were said to have followed suit and made disrespectful gestures to the fans, prompting UEFA to begin investigations.

Amidst the investigations, one of the potential penalties for the erring players (if they were found guilty) was suspension from their UEFA Champions League quarter-final matchup against Arsenal.

Fine was another possible penalty, per analysts. Now, it has been confirmed UEFA have only slammed the players with fine instead of suspension.

While it is still unclear how much they have been fined, some sources report that Rudiger has been particularly fined the sum of €40,000.

This means all the players will be available for the Arsenal match as they will only have to pay only fine for the misconduct.

While this may not be a good one for the Gunners’ fans, it will come as a huge relief for the Madridistas, who wouldn’t have wanted to risk missing such key players in the match.

Los Blancos will trade tackles with Arsenal in what is expected to be rollercoaster on Tuesday. The resolution of the UEFA investigation is a big boost for the team ahead of the match.
