Vinicíus Junior’s camp have strongly denied that his renewal talks with Real Madrid football club are advanced, MySportDab reports.
The Brazilian’s current deal will expire in 2027 and the Los Blancos were looking to extend his contract until 2029 or 2030.
From Real Madrid’s media group, talks have been ongoing for some time for a new deal and an agreement will soon be reached.
However, reports have emerged that the 24-year-old is not close to agreeing a deal with the club due to disagreements in the salary.
According to Mario Cortegana of the Athletic, the Brazilian superstar rejected Real Madrid’s salary offer of between €15-€20 million annually.
Further reports, show that the proposed salary is close to the €17 million annual salary he currently earns.
The Brazilian is reportedly asking for a huge amount that will make him one of the highest earners in the club’s history.
Specifically, close sources say the Brazilian is asking for a package in the region of €30 million which will include his salary and bonuses.
Due to the variations in the proposed salaries, of of both parties (Both Vinicíus and Real Madrid), contract talks have not advanced.
Meanwhile, there have been reports linking the player to Saudi Arabia with the Saudis ready to table an irresistible offer to Real Madrid for the player.
According to Fabrizio Romano,. Vinicius Jr is not fancying a move to Saudi Arabia and is ready to continue with Real Madrid.
However, he wants Los Blancos to acquiesce to his demands before committing to a new contract with the club.
