Manchester City have been held to a dramatic 2-2 draw by Brentford in Premier League matchday 21 clash, MySportDab reports.

Since ending their five-match winless run after a 1-1 draw with Everton, the Premier League champions had continued their fairytale return to form, clinching all nine points in the last three matches.

They went into the game against Brentford in top spirits and were favorites to edge out the Thomas Frank-led side and bag all three points.

It was a difficult ground against the Bees, who have been giant killers under Frank in the English top flight.

A dragging first half with limited chances from both sides ended goalless. Meanwhile, City had a better control of proceedings in the clash and came across scores of chances but couldn’t convert them.

Brentford also had a brilliant first half but struggled to create chances.

The second half was no different but City stepped up the pressure to take the lead.

Six minutes after the hour mark, they finally got one at the back of the net. Phil Foden scored a sensation to fire the Premier League champions into the lead.

12 minutes after the opening goal, the England attacking sensation was on the scoresheet again, netting his second to draw City close to a deserved victory.

However, four minutes after the second goal, Brentford fought back to halve the deficit through Yoane Wissa.

Wissa’s strike set the stage for a nervy finish as Brentford made a late dash in the final minutes to find the equaliser but the visitors were equal to the task, pulling a solid defensive display.

However, they were finally undone just at the last touch of the ball. Christian Norgaard, scored a stoppage-time goal to force the visitors to a dramatic 2-2 draw.
