Real Valladolid have decided to take legal action against Manchester City and their player Juma Bah over a dragging transfer saga involving the Sierra Leonian footballer, MySportDab reports.
In an official statement released on its website, the La Liga club alleges that Manchester City are pulling the triggers to sign Juma Bah against the club’s interest hence the club’s decision to mobilize its legal arsenal against both Juma Bah and Man City.
Further details of the faceoff, as captured by excerpts of the statement, claim Manchester City had urged Jumah Bah to terminate his contract with the club to facilitate a switch to the Premier League side.
Spanish football governing bodies reportedly communicated to the La Liga side that Juma Bah had paid in the required sum to end his deal with the club.
To make matters worse, Real Valladolid further added that Juma Bah refused to show up for training session after moving to end the deal with the club and has breached terms of the contract by so doing.
“Today, the Sierra Leonean (Juma Bah) has decided not to show up at his workplace for morning training.
“For all these reasons, the Club holds the player responsible for the breach of his contractual commitments, and has asked its legal department to initiate disciplinary action in this regard,” the statement reads.
They also categorically stated that Man City are behind Bah’s exit nuances.
“The Club considers that Manchester City, a member of the City Football Group, is behind the Player’s decision, and appears to have advised the player to take this route, which puts Real Valladolid in a defenceless position.”
It is understood Manchester City had agreed personal terms with Bah for a move to the club but Real Valladolid are not ready to give a nod for the transfer as things stand.
After personally terminating his contract, Bah’s future is still hanging in the balance pending the outcome of Real Valladolid’s legal charge.
