OFFICIAL: AFCON 2025 Group Stage Draw CONFIRMED!

The AFCON 2025 group stages have been confirmed with all teams confirming their respective opponents, MySportDab reports.

Ivory Coast would look to defend their title, while Nigeria would see if they can push this time to win the tournament in Morocco.

The top Football countries are all prepared to push their chances of having a go at the title which could be won by any team.

Egypt remains the most successful side with seven titles so far since the AFCON tournament was established by CAF.

The current holder Ivory Coast has won the AFCON just three times alongside finalist Nigeria who have the same numbers.

The tournament for 2025 will be played in Morocco and it will commence in December and end in January.

AFCON 2025 Kickoff And Schedule

The tournament will commence with Morocco facing Comoros on December 21, 2025, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The group stage will determine the top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, who will advance to the Round of 16.

The final match is slated for January 18, 2026, concluding the month-long competition which is expected to be a new one for all teams.

Detailed match schedules, including specific dates, venues, and kick-off times, are expected to be released by CAF closer to the tournament’s commencement.

The AFCON 2025 won’t be an easy one with the schedule change and many others which could impact players’ fitness and performance.
