Aston Villa have signed Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in what could be seen as the biggest moves in the January transfer window, MySportDab reports.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and Aston Villa have agreed club terms for the transfer of the player on loan till the end of the season.

As part of the agreement, Aston Villa will cover 70% of Rashford’s wages and a buy option worth £40million has been included to tie down the player on a three-and-a-half-year permanent deal should he impress on his debut season.

Rashford is expected to travel down to the Aston-based side for his medical and official unveiling as the Villain’s new acquisition.

Rashford’s move to Aston Villa will mark the end of his dragging misfortunes under Man United new manager Ruben Amorim.

The English forward last played for Manchester United in Europa League clash against Viktoria Pizen in December and has been dropped from the squad for 12 games.

According to Amorim, Rashford slacks in training and is not showing the commitment and desire to play hence his decision to freeze him out of the squad.

Rashford, on the other hand, had openly declared he is ready to leave Manchester United and settle for a new challenge following the deadlock under the new boss.

The relationship between him and the former Sporting CP boss is said to have broken down completely and this definitely fueled his desire to leave.

He reportedly preferred a move to Barcelona but had to settle for Aston Villa after the Catalan giants fell below means to acquire him due to La Liga Financial Fair Play Rules.

The switch to Aston Villa will be Rashford’s first time taking his career away from Manchester United, having been bred and groomed at the club from the Academies.
