Fenerbache manager Jose Mourinho has reacted to the charge of racism leveled against him by Galatasaray following his controversial Super Lig match comment on Monday, MySportDab reports.
The former Man United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan, and Roma manager stoked reactions when he said Galatasaray bench were ‘jumping like monkeys’ while trying to appeal for a penalty during a dive incident.
The comment attracted widespread reactions with some Galatasaray fans blasting the veteran football manager for being racist.
Galatasaray also issued an official statement condemning the remark and reiterating their decision to initiate criminal proceedings against the Fenerbache boss.
The club also called on Mourinho’s employers Fenerbache to live-up to their claims of maintaining high moral standards by condemning the comment by their manager.

However, it appears both Mourinho and Fenerbache aren’t sharing the same opinion as their Super Lig rivals.
According to multiple sources, Jose Mourinho is set to file a counter legal proceedings against Galatasaray for defamation following their accusations and charge of racism against him.
Mourinho’s stance underscores his insistence that he didn’t meant to racially abuse his opponents and that he has been misinterpreted out of context.
Notably, several black players who worked with Mourinho have come out to defend the Portuguese against the charges. Among them is Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.
Drogba dropped a lengthy social media post and message to Galatasaray, insisting Mourinho can’t be indicted for racism having worked with him for several years without such incidents.
Another Chelsea legend Michael Essien posted a footage of himself, Drogba, and other black players with Jose Mourinho in training session.
As things stand, it is yet to unclear how this will be resolved. However, it is likely to be settled in the court room with the warring parties arguing out their positions.
