Manchester City have announced the signing of Claudio Echeverri, MySportDab reports.
Echeverri, 19, signed for Manchester City in January 2024 but was kept on loan with his parent club River Plate for the past 13 months to further hone his talents.
He has now joined the club officially and is set for a new chapter with the Premier League giants. Like other youngsters in the Man City fold, Echeverri, who plays as an attacking midfielder, will hope to immediately rise through the ranks and establish himself in the star-studded City squad.
He began his career with River Plate Academy, playing for the club’s youth teams for six years from 2017 to 2023 before earning promotion to the first team.
In the 2023-24 campaign, Echeverri managed only four senior career appearances for River Plate in the Argentinian league.

However, after his Man City deal, he racked up 30 more league appearances for the team, scoring three goals.
His most stellar campaign was with the Argentina U-17 in 2022 and 2023 when he scored 12 goals in 23 matches for the team, earning promotion to the U-23 and U-20 levels.
He has a goal in nine appearances with the U-23 and six goals in 8 appearances for the U-20. At Manchester City, he will be hoping to continue his fairytale rise and live up to expectationsm
Speaking after his official unveiling, the youngster expressed his excitement joining the project at Manchester City, adding he can’t wait to contribute to the team by giving his best.
He is Manchester City’s newest addition to the squad this summer alongside the likes of Abdukhodir Khusanov who joined from Lens, Vitor Reis who joined from Palmeiras, and Omar Marmoush who joined from Eintracht Frankfurt.
