Man United Identify EPL Star As Osimhen/Gyokeres Transfer Alternative

Manchester United are eyeing a shock move for Premier League striker as a possible replacement option for two of their primed transfer targets – Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked with both Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres as possible striker options to lead Ruben Amorim’s new attacking options.

For Osimhen, it is understood the Old Trafford club must foot Napoli’s slammed €70million release clause with Amorim said to be a strong admirer of the Nigerian striker.

For Viktor Gyokeres, the Swedish forward is said to be interested in reuniting with Ruben Amorim at Manchester United but is holding back due to the team’s absence from the UEFA Champions League.

While the Red Devils have concrete interest in the two players, there are still uncertainties over the chances of striking a deal for them in the summer.

To forestall potential deadlock in their move for the duo, they have reportedly identified Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta as a potential alternative.

The French striker has been in the form of his life for Crystal Palace this season, scoring 12 Premier League goals plus two assists in 27 appearances.

He also has three goals plus an assist in four EFL Cup matches for the team. A move to United could see the player hit a big career milestone.

However, it will not be a smooth sail for the Red Devils. Other top European clubs are reportedly interested in the player.

Also, Crystal Palace are reportedly not open to parting ways with Mateta but could be forced to settle for a deal with an irresistible offer.
