Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been fined £600 by the UK police, MySportDab reports.
Wan-Bissaka was caught speeding at over 104mph during the second week of lockdown.
The Manchester United player was travelling into London when he was stopped in his G-wagon on the motorway.
Wan-Bissaka was handed a punishment by the magistrates court in Bromley, and he was asked to pay additional fees of £160.
The Police Officer who stopped Wan-Bissaka said: ‘The car was travelling at a speed I estimated to be over (70mph).’
The officer also revealed that Wan-Bissaka did not say anything after being cautioned, with the 22-year-old guilty for the charge.
Wan-Bissaka’s case was dealt with last month with the single justice procedure.
One month after his incident, the Metropolitan Police asked the public to stop speeding after a rise in overspeeding offences during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Wan-Bissaka is currently with Manchester United after he was not called up by Gareth Southgate for the England squad.
The right-back is currently behind the pecking order in the England squad.
The likes of Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier, and Reece James was included in the Three Lions squad.
Wan-Bissaka has played 3 matches for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side so far this season.
