Manchester United Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed he was disappointment by his players’ performance against Liverpool, MySportDab reports.

United played out a 0-0 at Anfield to remain three-point above Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

The Red Devils are only two points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

The draw extended Liverpool’s unbeaten home run in the Premier league to 68 matches.

However, United arguably had the best chances of the game through Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba but failed to take them.

Pogba and Bruno’s efforts were saved by Liverpool Goalkeeper Alisson.

However, Solskjaer said after the match that his players can perform better than that.

“It’s a good result if we do win the next match,” Solskjaer told the BBC.

“We had an opportunity to win but missed with the chances, but then again we played against a very good team. I’m disappointed not to win but a point is OK if you win the next match.

“We showed our quality towards the end. We didn’t start well in the first half. We didn’t have any composure.

“We are working hard everyday.

“We have improved a lot. We’re disappointed about the result and some of the performances. I know they can play better.”

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire said they got better in the second half.

“They started the game far better than us but second half we did a lot more,” Maguire told Sky Sports.

“We created good chances and we had the opportunity to win.

“It was tough. Two strong teams. We did well and had two good chances, but two great saves.

“There are talks about Liverpool being without their first-choice defenders but they’ve done well defensively since those injuries.

“We were determined to win. You could see that in the second half, we wanted all three points. We feel disappointed. It’s a difficult stadium to win

“You can see that our performance has improved compared to last year. We were a bit scared.”
