Liverpool Coach Jurgen Klopp has revealed that the 1-0 loss to Burnley was all his fault, MySportDab reports.

Klopp insisted that Liverpool cannot think about the current title race after their first home loss in the league in almost four years.

The Burnley defeat leaves them six points behind current league leaders Manchester United.

The Reds were on a run of 68 Premier league matches unbeaten at Anfield since the Crystal Palace loss in April 2017.

However, Ashley Barnes’ late penalty gave Burnley a shocking victory on Thursday evening.

It marked a night of frustration for Klopp’s team as they went a fourth successive match without win a win or goal in the league.

This is the first time since May 2000 that Liverpool have gone four matches without a goal in the Premier League.

Defeat to Burnley leaves Liverpool in fourth and six points behind United on 40 points, while Manchester City can to 41 points if they win their match in hand.

The likes of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are all out of form, while Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri failed to impress at Burnley.

However, Klopp has said that the defeat is his responsibility and has warned his players not to think about the title race.

“Everything, all the disappointed words, massive, frustrating, punch in the face, it’s my responsibility, that’s the only explanation,” Klopp told BBC.

“We had so much of the ball, created some chances and failed to score. That leaves the game open and then they suddenly get a penalty, Alisson told me he didn’t touch the player.

“We made some wrong decisions, three crosses into the box, trying to find a player, didn’t, it’s my job to ensure the boys are in the right position.

“It’s a tough one to explain, These boys are not the kind of person after a 7-0 Crystal Palace win to just go like this, they worked very tonight hard and it failed to happen for us.

“Blaming won’t solve anything, we must sort it out amongst ourselves and together. We can’t dare think about the title race at the moment.”
