Cristiano Ronaldo is now in a serious controversy in Italy after going against coronavirus rules for girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez 27th birthday, MySportDab reports.

Ronaldo was not part of the Juventus team that won 4-0 Coppa Italia against SPAL last night.

The 35 year old instead took his girlfriend to a luxury resort, 93 miles from Turin, crossing the different borders for a two-day trip.

According to Italian Newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Ronaldo and Georgina stayed in a hotel, which was said to be officially closed.

Also, Ronaldo and Rodriguez were seen on a snowmobile, despite the fact that Italian Covid-19 rules ban travel between cities.

MySportDab understands that Ronaldo and his girlfriend spent two days in the Val Veny snow area.

It is the same resort that Georgina spent her birthday in 2020, but Ronaldo was not present.

The Sports Couple have not been fined, but the video that showed them in the resort was deleted immediately on social media.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have now returned back to Turin after their luxury trip.

The fine for breaking Covid-19 rules in Italy is €400 (£354), which is the same amount Ronaldo earns in seven minutes from his £26m-a-year Juventus contract.

The Rules in Italy state that: ‘Travel across different states in Italy is banned until 15th of February unless for work, health or absolutely necessary.’

On her 27th birthday, Rodriguez posted a picture of her, Ronaldo and their family, saying: ‘INFINITE THANKS. For the love received today…

‘And thanks for your best wishes, attention, the details and your messages. I am lucky.’

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to play in Juventus’ next match in the Serie A.
