Manchester United were offered the chance to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko this January as Odion Ighalo’s replacement, MySportDab reports.

After his Bust-up with Coach Paulo Fonseca, Dzeko was not included in the squad for the 4-3 Serie A win against Spezia on Saturday.

Dzeko is also training on his own for now.

Pep Guardiola’s team have already rejected the chance to re-sign the striker but reports claim Roma have offered him to Manchester United.

According to MySportDab Sources, it is very unlikely Manchester United would agree to sign a old Striker like Edin Dzeko despite Odion Ighalo’s exit.

Odion Ighalo’s loan expired with the Red Devils ended this January and the 31-year-old returned back to Shanghai Shenhua.

At Manchester City, Dzeko won five trophies with between 2011 and 2015 before his transfer to AS Roma.

Dzeko has been a key part of the AS Roma team for many years with 114 goals in 224 matches but he could now leave due to his disagreement with Fonseca.

Dzeko and Fonseca fell out after AS Roma Sacked Coach Gianluca Gombar.

Gombar was sacked by AS Roma after it emerged they made an illegal substitution in their Coppa Italia match against Spezia.

Dzeko and his team-mates at first refused to train after the decision but a meeting was held to solve the issue.

However, the Bosnian striker has been left out of the first-team set-up since.

He could remain in Italy with the striker in talks over a loan move to Inter Milan, and Alexis Sanchez would join AS Roma in a swap deal.

Sanchez has two goals and provided four assists in 19 matches so far this season after his transfer fro Manchester United was made permanent.

Dzeko has scored eight goals and provided two assists across all competitions.

Roma are now four points behind Inter Milan in the Serie A table.
