Chelsea travel to face London Premier League rivals Tottenham today for an highly anticipated match, MySportDab reports.
Coach Thomas Tuchel wants to make it three matches unbeaten since he was appointed by Chelsea.
After the Wolves draw and Burnley win, Spurs will be the toughest test of the German’s new team today.
Chelsea Team News
Goalkeeper – Mendy
Edouard Mendy will most definitely keep his place in goal.
The Senegalese has two clean sheets since Tuchel’s arrival.
Defence – Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Thiago Silva
Tuchel has now switched to a back three since he arrived and they are yet to concede a goal so far under him.
Thiago Silva might not play every game, but he’s expected to start against Tottenham.
Kurt Zouma remains a doubt for the match, though he is expected to be on the bench.
Cesar Azpilicueta keeps his place in the starting in his new role under Tuchel.
Midfield: Alonso, Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Kovacic
Marcos Alonso has returned to Chelsea and taken Ben Chilwell’s place in the team.
The Spaniard scored a beautiful goal against Burnley and it’s more likely he would start.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has played perfectly well on the other wing in midfield.
N’Golo Kante is fit again but hasn’t played for some time, so Tuchel could still play Jorginho and Kovacic in the middle.
Attack: Giroud, Mount, Pulisic
Tuchel has played using No 10s instead of wingers in his first two games at Chelsea.
Tammy Abraham played only 45 minutes against Burnley, so Olivier Giroud could return.
Timo Werner’s poor run of form means Christian Pulisic has a better chance of being selected.
Mason Mount is expected to be in the Starting XI again today against Tottenham.
Chelsea Likely XI vs Tottenham: Mendy, Rudiger, Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Alonso, Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Pulisic, Kovacic, Mount, Giroud.
Tottenham likely XI Vs Chelsea: Lloris, Dier, Doherty, Alderweireld, Davies, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Son, Lamela, Vinicius.
