Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has now slammed his former Coach Frank Lampard, MySportDab reports.

Jorginho believes that Lampard’s legendary status at Chelsea helped him get a job he was not ready for.

In 2019, Lampard was appointed Chelsea manager after one season with Derby County in the English Championship.

He did not last beyond 18 months as the Chelsea manager and was sacked in January.

Lampard was replaced by former PSG Coach Thomas Tuchel.

Lampard started his time at Chelsea with a transfer ban and without Eden Hazard but still helped Chelsea complete a top-four finish and reach the FA Cup final in his first season.

But after spending over £200m last summer, Chelsea were ninth in the Premier League when Lampard was sacked due to results and performances.

Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Jorginho said: ‘I’ll be really sincere here about Lampard. I believe, since he was a legend at the club, he jumped some steps necessary before coaching a big club.

‘He was appointed at a club where he is a known legend, without enough experience Coaching other clubs.

‘I think he got the job too early, skipped some steps and wasn’t ready for a job at this level.’

However, Thomas Tuchel has offered some hope to Tammy Abraham that he could return for Chelsea in the Premier league today.

Abraham has played only four games from the start under Tuchel, and came off at half-time in two of those game

His last appearance for Chelsea was in February with an ankle injury keeping him out despite being Chelsea’s top goal scorer.
