Paris Saint-Germain loanee Mauro Icardi will now return to Italy after his loan deal at the French club was terminated, MySportDab reports.

Icardi has enjoyed a very sensational season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain but it appears his time in France has come to an end.

According to Italian Newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Icardi’s contract with PSG has been terminated early after his wife Wanda Nara, also his agent, informed Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo that he wants to return to Italy.

Icardi is out on loan from Inter Milan but it is unlikely the Italian club will welcome him back after a shocking exit from the San Siro last summer.

During the 2018-19 campaign, Icardi refused to travel with the Inter team for a Europa League match against Rapid Vienna because he lost the club’s captaincy.

MySportDab understands that the issue became very public and bad Bust-up between the player, the club and Coach Lucaino Spaletti.

Icardi did not play for the Inter first team for over eight weeks, from February until April.

At PSG this season, Icardi’s form has improved and he’s scored 20 goals in 31 matches for the French club.

His goalscoring ability has seen him replace Edinson Cavani in attack in the French capital.

But what happens next now for the 27-year-old remains unknown.

Antonio Conte is currently Coach at Inter, having replaced Spaletti but summer signing Romelu Lukaku has established himself as Inter’s NO.1 Striker in attack.

Currently, Serie A is indefinitely on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak and clubs across the country have placed players on wage cuts to save money.

However, it appears unlikely that clubs will be willing to splash the cash on players like Icardi the next transfer window is open.
