Breel Embolo and Kieffer Moore both scored as Wales and Switzerland played a 1-1 draw which VAR ruled out a late goal in Euros2020, MySportDab reports.
First Half Report
It wasn’t so much entertianing in the first half of the encounter which saw both sides playing a poor game that couldn’t provide a goal.
Wales had their own fair share of the amount of opportunities that they could have hurt their opponent, but bad timing and finishing killed off everything.
Switzerland were responsible for missing more of the chances created as they couldn’t find the right strike to finish off from the opportunity on goal.
The first half of the encounter carried on without a goal to report as the match slowed down a little bit more without any real efforts on-goal despite the chances created.
It finally came to an end with Wales 0-0 Switzerland which saw them heading for the break after a disappointing performance with a goalless draw.
Second Half
The second half was much entertainment as both teams showed so much promises in the early stages which goals were scored.
Breel Embolo gave Switzerland the lead from a brilliant finish to make it 0-1 with an assistance coming from Shaqiri which was thanks to an amazing buildup from play in the 49th minute.
Wales had more work to do as they applied pressure on their opponent until Kieffer Moore pulled things back level in the 74th minute to make it 1-1 for his side.
More opportunities being created until a goal was scored by Gavranovic but unfortunately it was ruled out by VAR after review and it was called off for offside.
The match ended with Wales 1-1 Switzerland after a late drama which have VAR spoiled the celebration from the away team in the encounter.
