FT: Portugal 2-4 Germany, Cristiano Ronaldo STRIKES! (Match Report And Highlight)

Cristiano Ronaldo goal wasn’t enough as Germany thrashed Portugal 2-4 as Kai Havertz scored twice with one judged as an own goal, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half was a disaster for the Portuguese after them going up from a Cristiano Ronaldo magic which ensured the 45 minutes was very entertaining.

Germany started the game as the better side going forward with them scoring an early goal which was later ruled out by VAR for offside by Serge Gnabry.

Portugal took the lead after a counter attack from them that saw Bernardo Silva setting up Diogo Jota who slide it to Cristiano Ronaldo for the finishing that made it 1-0 in the 15th minute.

The game carried on with the Germans pulling one back as Kai Havertz strike was deflected by Ruben Dias as the scoreline turned 1-1 in the 35th minute which was later recorded as an own goal to the Man City player.

Another own goal again for the Portuguese and this time it was Guerreiro who put the ball inside his own net to make the scoreline go in favor of the Germans 1-2 in the 39th minute.

The first half of the encounter ended with Portugal 1-2 Germany as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the away side who were all over their opponent with pressure.

Second Half Report

The second half started brightly with both teams pushing forward ensuring they are able to kill off the game in one way or the other as it progressed.

Portugal were unable to once again deal with an attack from their opponent which saw Kai Havertz increasing the lead to 1-3 with a fantastic goal which came in the 51st minutes.

Germany continued with their dominance which saw them getting another goal in the 60th minute through Robin Gosens that saw it turned into a 1-4 scoreline with the brilliant finish.

Diogo Jota pulled one back in the 67th minute of the game with an assist from Cristiano Ronaldo who made it 2-4 after a break in play which resulted in another goal.

The match carried on with more coming from both teams before it ended with Portugal 2-4 Germany which saw the Germans getting their first win in Euros2020.
