Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement over a loan move for Saul Niguez to Stamford Bridge until end of the season, MySportDab reports.
An agreement was reach on transfer day deadline after deal was thought to have been called off due to slow talks between the two sides.
Saul Niguez will be announced soon by Chelsea after the final papers are signed and completed between both clubs.
The Blues were offered a chance to sign the midfielder despite the plans of Liverpool and Manchester United to go for the player on a permanent move.
Atletico Madrid were not looking to allow him leave permanently as he is signed with them until 2026.
Due to financial crisis, they had to offer Saul Niguez out on loan so they can free up their wage cap and also register their new signings.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the latest development between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
According to him;
“Saul to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement reached for €5M loan from Atletico Madrid.
“Personal terms agreed. Saul will be in London soon to sign the contract.
The transfer deadline day is now living up to expectations as more deals are being wrapped up by top clubs.
Chelsea talks for Jules Kounde have been pulled off with no agreement reached between the two sides after a €55 million bid from the Blues was turned down.
