Goals from Bernardo Silva alongside Andre Silva and Diogo Jota ensured Portugal smashed Azerbaijan 0-3 in the World Cup qualifiers, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

The first half of the encounter was all about the Portuguese showing all their dominance which saw them controlling the whole of 45 minutes.

Azerbaijan had their defense inline in the early minutes as they were able to keep their opponent from scoring as all pressure was on them from kickoff.

It ended in the first half of the encounter with Azerbaijan 0-2 Portugal as they both headed for the break with the Portuguese taking the much-needed advantage after a good 45 minutes.

Second Half Report

The second half wasn’t that far from being an evenly balance 45 minutes as just one goal was scored by the visitors who continued with their dominance in the match.

Solid display coming from Azerbaijan who ensured things didn’t get worst as they push to see if they can salvage something out of the encounter which was looking far gone.

Portugal wasn’t done with their opponent as they continued making sure they press for more goals which was looking hard to come through for them as it progressed.

Diogo Jota finally extended the lead to 0-3 after he scored in the 75th minute of the game with assistance from Joao Cancelo as they sealed the fate of their opponent with the third.

Nothing more as the match ended with Azerbaijan 0-3 Portugal, as the Portuguese yet again claimed another massive three points to boost their chances of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
