FT: Barcelona 4-1 Arsenal, Oshoala Strikes In WUCL! (HIGHLIGHTS)

Asisat Oshoala scored as Barcelona women beat Arsenal 4-1 in the Uefa Champions League group stages, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

An exceptional first half display from the Champions which saw them dominating things and scoring goals within 45 minutes of football.

The early stages of the first half saw both sides holding each other off from scoring while the home side dominated things while going forward.

Barcelona Women

It took Barcelona Women 31 minutes to score the opening goal which came through Caldentey after an amazing play saw her finishing off to make it 1-0.

Arsenal women had so much work to do as their former player Assisat Oshoala made sure her presence on the pitch made things difficult for the Gunners.

Alexia Putellas scored in the 42nd minute which saw the home side increasing their lead to 2-0 with another fantastic teamwork effort saw the Champions League holders getting another goal.

The first half ended with Barcelona women making sure they went inside for the break with them taking a 2-0 lead against Arsenal who couldn’t get anything.

Second Half Report

The second half was more eventful coming from the home side who were unstoppable going forward and scoring the goals in surplus.

More coming from Barcelona who continued making sure everything was working out fine as the game carried on in their favor as Asisat Oshoala made it 3-0 in the 47th minute.

Arsenal were less of a threat going forward as they couldn’t make things happen despite all their efforts until a 74th minute goal from Frida Maanum made it 3-1 for the Gunners.

The game carried on with Lieke Martens scoring another goal in the 84th minute to make things 4-1 thanks to another teamwork effort before the finishing.

Barca Femeni had a late chance of making it 5-1, but the Gunners goalkeeper made an incredible to keep the scoreline 4-1 as it progressed.

The match finally came to an end with Barcelona taking a 4-1 win against Arsenal in their opening game in the group stages of the Women UEFA Champions League.
