Manchester United have now a list of four potential candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as manager, MySportDab reports.

Zinedine Zidane and Antonio Conte are both leading the race to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

However, United are also looking at two other options in Brendan Rodgers and Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils remain in shock after a 5-0 defeat against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Sunday result has now put Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s job on the line.

Now, According to The Sun, Manchester United have drawn up a four-man shortlist of candidates to replace Solskjaer.

MySportDab understands that Manchester United have sent out messages to former Real Madrid manager Zidane and former Chelsea boss Conte to see their interest in taking over.

Club chiefs have told an agent to get in contact with several top managerial names to understand their contract demands and plans for United if given the job.

The Red Devils are reluctant to sack Solskjaer, because they only handed him a three-year contract extension in July.

On Monday, chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer held crisis talks with Ed Woodward and Richard Arnold to discuss the plan moving forward.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer spent almost three hours at the training ground after giving his squad and coaching staff the day off.

Am immediate improvement in performances and results may extend Solskjaer’s stay at the club, but after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane expectations are now higher.

One of the candidates is Leicester City Coach Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers has impressed with Leicester City since taking over in 2019.

He has produced a free-flowing style of play and qualified for the Champions League two seasons running.

Rodgers managed to win last season’s FA Cup and the Community Shield at the start of the season but ruled himself out of the running to take over at Newcastle last week.

However, Antonio Conte is available after leaving Inter Milan earlier this summer.

He won the Premier League with Chelsea in 2016-17 and retains a top contender for the job.

Zidane

Meanwhile, Zidane won a record three consecutive Champions League titles with Real Madrid.
