The English Premier League are working on a suitable date for the return of football after a meeting dominated by talks over when players can return to training on Friday, MySportDab reports.

All clubs were informed that the UK government will not make special plans for football during talks over when to relax social distancing.

Now, the Premier League has outlined scenario of which training would resume fully on May 18 with matches to be played three weeks later behind closed doors.

According to The Daily Mail, Various clubs have held private talks about their desire for a deadline of June 30 to complete the season due to the legal difficulties of extending player contracts, finances and others.

However, there was still commitment from all clubs to finish the season if possible with a given framework based on the fixture list.

The Big Six clubs are more keen to finish the season as they have large prize money and European Competition qualification at risk and they are ready to play until August if necessary.

The Premier League have also warned the clubs that they cannot get any special facts from the government and they will still be subjected to the same rules on social distancing and Covid-19 as everyone else in the country.
