Bayern Munich’s Ace Hints At Exit (NEXT CLUB REVEALED)

Bayern Munich’s striker, Robert Lewandowski has revealed that he “is open to everything” this summer in a hint he could leave Bayern Munich for another club.

Although the 33 year old veteran has a contract with the German champions until the end of 2023, previous reports have suggested that he could move a year before.

That’s despite another outstanding season in which Lewandowski has scored 39 goals in 33 matches across all competitions.

This will be the third consecutive season the striker will aim to finish the season with a higher goal average than matches played.

When asked about his future plans and contract situations earlier this season, Lewandowski opined that he was focused on playing the beautiful game and contract talks will come later.

But with no new contract offer forthcoming, Lewandowski told Sky Sport Deutschland: ‘I am open to everything. I’m quiet.

‘It is important for me to be able to focus on my game, always on what can happen in the last match.

‘Everything that remains to be done regarding contracts is a secondary issue and remains in the background.’

But reports from Spanish newspaper AS last month said Lewandowski was determined to finish his career with Real Madrid.

There is still plenty to play for this season with Bayern on course to win a 10th consecutive Bundesliga title.

Results at the weekend saw them establish an eight-point lead over Borussia Dortmund in second with 10 rounds of the season still to play.

They also maintain hopes of winning the Champions League again, though they could only draw 1-1 with Red Bull Salzburg in the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Bayern’s chairman Herbert Hainer, however, believes that Lewandowski will eventually agree to a new contract and see out the remainder of his career at the club alongside Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer.

Hainer said: ‘I would love for all three of them to finish their careers at FC Bayern and I also firmly assume they will.’

It can only be left to be known what the Bundesliga top scorer’s decision will eventually be.
