A Borussia Dortmund player has now reacted to links that he might join Manchester United, MySportDab reports.
The Borussia Dortmund player in question is defender Manuel Akanji.
Manchester United are likely to sign a new defender this summer given the poor performance of captain Harry Maguire.
However, Akanji is ‘fully focused’ on Borussia Dortmund for now until the end of the season.
Akanji is one of many defenders linked with a transfer to Manchester United.
According to reports in Germany, He is ready for a new challenge next season and could leave Dortmund.
MySportDab understands that he would love to play in the Premier League one day.
However, the Akanji has said that he is very happy at Dortmund, but anything can happen in the summer.
Speaking to Kicker, Akanji said: “I am only focused on Dortmund right now.
“Anything can happen in the future. I’m happy to play here. I have an important role and I want to do well here. In the summer, we will see what happens.”
Last week, reports surfaced that Akanji rejected a new contract offer from Dortmund.
The Bundesliga club could now put him up for sale and demand £20m.
Akanji signed for Dortmund from Basel in 2018 and has a contract until 2023.
