The Nigerian national team have been drawn in Group C with Cape Verde, Central Africa Republic and Liberia in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers, MySportDab reports.
The draw was held on Tuesday evening in Cairo, Egypt at the Carlton Hotel.
AFCON Champions Algeria are in Group A alongside Burkina Faso, Djibouti and Niger Republic.
For Group B, Tunisia, Mauritania, Zambia and Equatorial Guinea will battle it out.
Group D is one of the tough groups with heavyweights Cote D’Ivoire and Cameroon joined by Malawi and Mozambiqu.
From the first round, The 14 winners will join Africa’s top-ranked 26 sides.
The 40 teams are split into 10 groups for the second qualifying round.
The 10 group winners will be drawn against each other in home and away fixtures, with the five victory countries qualifying for Qatar 2022.
