He asserted that Man City and PSG are ‘state clubs’ run by wealthy and powerful countries who flout European Fair Play Rules at will.

He accused both clubs of financial doping, an accusation both clubs have denied vigorously.

In 2020, Manchester City, who were banned for breaching FFP rules, had their banned overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has reacted to the current wave of concerns about FFP rules.

Todd Boehly, who is ready to spend big in the transfer market, has expressed his concern over the possible effects of FFP rules on Chelsea’s transfer plans.

After the eclipse of Abramovich’s 19 years of Chelsea’s reign, the Blues’ fans were wondering whether Todd Boehly would spend heavily on the transfer market as his predecessor.

Speaking at the SuperReturn Internationa Conference in Berlin, Todd Boehly said, ‘the ability of clubs to acquire players at any price will be limited by FFP, which is beginning to get some teeth.’

‘As UEFA is taking it seriously as it is and will continue, it means teams will be disqualified from competitions and slammed his financial penalties.’

The Blues spent heavily last season to bring Lukaku back.

Todd Boehly’s reaction means that the American investor may be treading carefully with his transfer budget for the Blues.
