Moratti was asked about the possibility of Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona to join Inter Milan, MySportDab reports.

Massimo Moratti believes Messi will not leave Barcelona, while he also discussed the future of Martinez.

Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to Inter Milan since Moratti said the Argentine player joining the Serie A club was not a ‘forbidden dream’.

Messi Inter

Messi is tied to the La Liga champions until 2021 but his future is far from certain at Camp Nou.

Recently he had a clash with board members as the club has faced several turbulent moments inside the boardroom.

Messi has been on good form this season despite the off field unrest, he has 24 goals in 31 matches.

With Messi leading the way, Barca currently sit top of the La Liga league table with Real Madrid behind.

The league season is set to resume following the enforced coronavirus break.

While Messi’s future is always a talking point, Moratti expects him to remain with Barcelona.

Messi is everyone’s dream, but he won’t move from Barcelona and he’s still the best player there is, ” he said.

Inter forward Martinez has been tipped to link up with fellow Argentina teammate Messi at Barcelona.

He is also attracting interests from Real Madrid alongside Premier League sides Manchester City and Chelsea.

Martinez had scored 16 goals in 31 games across all competitions before the coronavirus break.

Moratti says that he believes a move to Barcelona could very much be in the cards for Martinez.

“It will all depend on him, I read that Barcelona are making exorbitant offers for him which will be difficult to say no to.

Messi Inter

Conte’s Inter are reportedly favourites to sign Brescia and Italy sensation Sandro Tonali.

“Sandro Tonali is good but Inter already have Stefano Sensi,” Moratti added.

He was also asked about Inter possibly targeting Erling Haaland who recently joined Dortmund.

“What he does makes you want to sign him but Inter already have Romelu Lukaku,” he said.
