FT: Tottenham 1-1 Sevilla, Harry Kane STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Tottenham have been held to a 1-1 draw in their pre-season encounter with Sevilla, MySportDab reports.

First Half

The first half began with Sevilla heaping pressure on the Antonio Conte-led team.

The Spanish side was comfortably in control of the game, making it difficult for Tottenham to find their way into the game.

A more composed Sevilla side hid new signing Richarlison. He even committed a foul in the game.

Tottenham began to navigate out of the high-pressing Sevilla side in the 23rd minute.

A quick recovery led to an immediate goal for Spurs in the 28th minute, courtesy of a Harry Kane strike.

But it was ruled offside by the referee. Tottenham continues to pick their pace in the game.

Sevilla equally created a series of chances but was unable to convert to convert them.

Both sides went into the break with a barren draw.

Second Half

The second half began with a more brilliant display by Tottenham.

The London-based club took the game to their visitors in a dramatic and reinforced style.

Tottenham’s effort paid off in the 40th minute. An assist by Heung-min made Kane find the back of the net again.

The English side were comfortably leading by a goal to nill till the 63rd minute.

Sevilla quickly responded as they fired into the net in the 64th-minute course of former Barcelona star Rakitic.

 

Both sides maintained equal tempo as they tried to outplay each other for a winning goal, all to no avail.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Kane bagging his 3rd preseason goal.
