West Ham United are plotting a move for out-of-favour former Man United star Jesse Lingard, MySportDab reports.

The London-based club are currently negotiating with the representatives of the England international.

Lingard may likely made a return to the club if there is an agreement between the club and the player.

Lingard is one of the players who was unceremoniously released from the Manchester United squad after his contract expired.

There were waves of reactions to Lingard’s unceremonious Man United exit.

Lingard’s brother had taken to his social media handle to criticise Man United for turning a blind eye to the contribution of Lingard to the team.

The departure of Jesse Lingard and the non-renewal of his contract could be attributed to Ten Hag’s planned overhaul of the Red Devils.

Lingard was among the list of players such as Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, and Juan Mata, who were to be released from the club.

After the expiration of his Man United contract, some clubs have indicated an interest in signing the player, who is now a free agent.

Everton was one of the clubs reportedly interested in bringing Lingard to Goodison Park.

It appears that West Ham may likely hijack the deal as they are currently in talks with the player’s representatives.

Jesse Lingard has spent over 20 years at Old Trafford and his entire career with the Red Devils since 2011.

He has made 165 appearances for Man United since 2011 and has scored 29 goals with 14 assists.
