Magaia scored a brace as South Africa women beat Morocco 1-2 to win the WAFCON 2022, MySportDab reports.

First Half Report

It was a cagey first-half encounter between both teams who did well enough going forward against each other as they looked to make something happen.

Morocco did well enough to make sure they came in prepared, looking to fight hard to get the opportunity of winning their first WAFCON title in their history.

Morocco Vs South Africa

South Africa showed so much dominance in the game going forward as they wanted to make sure something happened, but it wasn’t that easy for them in the encounter.

More opportunities were created but couldn’t result in anything happening between them as they approached the final few minutes left to be played in the first half of the encounter.

The first half ended with Morocco 0-0 South Africa as they both headed inside for the break with no goal scored between them in the match.

Second Half Report

The second half was where all the action happened as the goals came in from both nations who were able to make something happen.

Magaia opened the goal scoring in the 63rd minute of the game after a brilliant teamwork effort that saw her finish off neatly to make the scoreline 0-1.

The match continues with her making it a brace in the 71st, making it 0-2 for South Africa, who already looked like the side to carry the day after the brilliant finish.

Morocco pulled one goal back through a lovely finish from Ayane in the 81st minutes of the game, making it 1-2, which was already too late as their opponent locked up immediately.

The game ended with South Africa claiming their first ever WAFCON title beating host Nation Morocco 1-2 after 90 minutes of football played between them to complete the tournament.
