Manchester United’s plans to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho could depend on Manchester City’s Champions League Ban, MySportDab reports.

The England star is a top target for Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are ready to sell the 20-year-old.

However, the German club have demanded for £100m regardless of Sancho’s wish to quit the club.

But, According to the Mirror, United’s plans to sign Sancho depends on City’s Champions League ban being intact.

The Red Devils will receive £50m to add to their transfer budget if they qualify for next season Champions League.

United are currently fifth on the Premier League table, which could secure Champions League football if City’s ban is not overturned.

Manchester United will be closely monitoring City’s appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in June.

The 2018-19 Premier League Champions were handed a two year Champions League ban and fined £25m for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

However, Manchester City insist they will prove their innocence.

United are hoping to secure Champions League football after Ed Woodward revealed the club’s debt has gone up to £429m.

Manchester United have seen their debt rise by 42 per cent as their Q3 earnings were announced.

Losses for the financial quarter from January 1 to March 31, 2020 is £7.3m.

Revenue have dropped by 19 per cent year-on-year although that was because of playing in the Europa League instead of the Champions League.

The coronavirus crisis has caused all Manchester United matches to be postponed since early March.
